Cascade Middle School Comprehensive Counseling Program Overview:


The Cascade Middle School Comprehensive Counseling Program exists to guide the personal and academic development of each student. CMS is committed to helping students feel more confident in their decisions concerning their own development: Personally, Academically, and Socially. The counseling program provides the following services in order to help address students’ personal, social, academic, and career needs.


Services:

  • Individual Counseling
  • Academic Counseling
  • Career Guidance
  • Classroom Guidance Lessons
  • Social Emotional Learning Support Lessons
  • Counseling for Social/Peer Relationships
  • Community Outreach
  • Consultation with Parents
  • Peer Mentoring

Social Emotional Lessons include, but are not limited to, the following: Mindsets & Goals, Recognizing Bullying & Harassment, Thoughts, Emotions & Decisions, Managing Relationships & Social Conflict.


The Counseling Program works directly with the faculty, students, and the students’ parents/guardians to facilitate academic success and personal development of the students at CMS.
